James Pendlebury

James Pendlebury is Vice President, Product Management for Guardian Capital LP (Guardian Capital). He joined Guardian Capital in 2019 as Senior Manager, Product Management, was subsequently promoted to Director, Product Management and assumed his current role in 2025.  James supports the product management of investment strategies for Guardian Capital’s affiliated companies, UK-based GuardCap Asset Management Limited and US-based Alta Capital Management, LLC. He has leadership responsibilities for the product management teams.

James’s career in the financial services industry began in 2011 with McLean Budden, where his progressive roles included fund treasury, attribution analyst and product analyst. Directly before joining Guardian Capital, he was a Senior Product Analyst of global product at MFS Investment Management.

James graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He is a CFA^® Charterholder.
