George Mavroudis

George Mavroudis is President and Chief Executive Officer of both Guardian Capital Group Limited (Guardian) and Desjardins Global Asset Management (DGAM). He was appointed to the role with DGAM in March 2026 following the completion of DGAM’s acquisition of Guardian.

He joined Guardian in 2005 in a senior executive capacity and was appointed President in 2009, with responsibility for the firm’s investment operations across institutional and private wealth businesses. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2011.

George has over three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Guardian, he was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management, where he held senior leadership roles across London, New York, and Toronto. From 1995 to 1998, he was based in Moscow as Chief Executive Officer of Robert Fleming’s institutional brokerage and investment banking operations in Russia. He began his career in 1992 at Coopers & Lybrand.

George holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (FCPA) and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
