Anthony Messina is the Head of Private Wealth, including the President of Guardian Partners and Managing Director for Guardian Capital Advisors LP. Previous roles at Guardian included President and CEO of Worldsource Securities and Worldsource Financial Management (2018-2021).

Prior to joining Guardian in 2016, he was instrumental in building and growing I3 Advisors, the predecessor to BNY Mellon Wealth Management Canada’s outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) business. During his tenure as President, he served as a member of various global operating, pension, and investment strategy committees, and as director of the Canadian and Cayman Island businesses. Anthony began his career in the financial services industry at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). His business experience is broad and includes investment management, venture capital, business and operations management in private and public companies.

Anthony is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business, holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation and is a CFA® Charterholder. He is active in numerous charities, including as a director of Villa Colombo Vaughan. He is also a member of the MacKay CEO Forums, a leading CEO peer learning organization.
ERROL KUSZNER, CFA

Errol Kuszner is a Vice President, Investment Counsellor for Guardian Partners, where he works with high-net-worth families and institutional clients, focusing on their sophisticated investment needs. His area of specialty lies in working with family structures, pension plans, foundations, endowments and corporate accounts. Previously, Errol was in the same position at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services (WMAS), where he held direct oversight responsibilities for the firm’s Investment Analysis Team and was involved with senior teams associated with pooled fund advisory, portfolio construction and client engagement. He joined WMAS in 2016 as an Investment Counsellor working with high-net-worth and institutional clients.

Over the past 18 years, Errol has held multiple senior positions focused in the areas of institutional and private wealth management, including four years at Fidelity Investments as Director of Consultant Relations and seven years at Jarislowsky Fraser as an Assistant Portfolio Manager working with prominent Canadian families and institutions. Errol received his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Guelph, with specializations in Economics and Finance. He is a CFA® Charterholder and a member of the Toronto CFA Society.
JAZ GILL

Jaz Gill is Chief Operating Officer for Guardian Partners, with more than 15 years of professional experience in the investment management industry. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer for BNY Mellon Wealth Management, with oversight of the firm's operational and administrative support staff as well as its systems and processes. His extensive experience in client service roles has enabled him to follow a unique, client-centered approach to the operational side of the business. Jaz earned his Bachelor of Administration in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
CHRISTINA FORSTER PAZIENZA, CPA, CA
Chief Compliance Officer, Wealth Management

Christina Forster Pazienza is the Chief Compliance Officer, Wealth Management, responsible for the oversight of the Wealth Management Compliance program which includes several affiliates of Guardian Capital Group Limited, including Guardian Partners Inc., Guardian Capital Advisors LP (GCALP), and Modern Advisor Canada Inc. She joined GCALP in 2022 to build and lead the Wealth Management compliance team.

Christina brings both breadth and depth of knowledge to her responsibilities, entering the industry over 30 years ago with TD Bank, after starting out in public accounting. In the years since, she has assumed progressively more senior roles, including VP and Chief Compliance Officer (MFS Investment Management Canada Limited), and Assistant Manager, Compliance (Ontario Securities Commission).

Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. She holds the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant designation.
NEIL COLLINS, CAIA, MFin

Neil Collins is Director, Investment Research for Guardian Partners and a member of its research team — the Strategy and Solutions Group (SSG). He joined Guardian in 2023, with a broad mandate to aid in the delivery of robust, customized investment solutions, through conducting manager research, providing macroeconomic and thematic research, and supporting portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management for SSG.

Neil’s industry experience began in 2004 and throughout his career he has worked in several capacities, including trade operations, fund accounting, financial analysis, portfolio management and consulting. Prior to joining Guardian, Neil was a Senior Consultant & ESG Lead Canada at Aon, primarily covering public equities. Prior to Aon, Neil worked at Counsel Portfolio Services as a Portfolio Manager & Senior Analyst where his responsibilities included manager selection, portfolio construction, asset allocation and overseeing the currency hedging program. This depth of experience bolsters SSG’s investment research capability.

Neil has a master’s degree in finance from the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Neil also holds the CAIA Charter and CIM designation.
ALEX LYON

Alex Lyon is an Associate Wealth Manager for Guardian Partners Inc. (GPI), where he works alongside the firm’s Investment Counsellors in designing, recommending, and implementing customized investment strategies for institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Alex entered the industry in 2017 when he joined GPI (formerly BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services) as a Performance Analyst. He progressively assumed senior roles with the firm and was appointed to his current position in 2022.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree with a specialization in Finance from McMaster University (DeGroote School of Business). He is a CFA® Charterholder.
JOHN NARDI
Operations Manager

John Nardi is the Operations Manager for Guardian Partners Inc. (GPI), joining in 2023 and bringing over 25 years of industry and client experience to the role.

Before GPI, John was a Senior Manager of client onboarding for RBC Investor Services, where he successfully implemented account transitions and restructures for leading money managers and pension plans. He has considerable expertise in client onboarding processes and creating organizational strategies and details implementations.

John attended Humber College Applied Arts and Technology and completed mutual funds licensing from IFIC.

Kimberly Hu Amadori is a long-term and well-respected Vice President, and Investment Counsellor for Guardian Partners. She works directly with ultra high net worth and institutional clients to address their complex wealth management needs, including customized portfolio strategy design and implementation, investment manager recommendations and continuous portfolio oversight. Previously, Kimberly served as Vice President, and Investment Counsellor at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services (WMAS), a firm she joined in 2008. as an Investment Analyst. At WMAS, she also held responsibility for oversight and investment management of proprietary funds.

Kimberly received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen’s University, is a CFA® Charterholder and a member of the Toronto CFA Society. Aside from academics, Kimberly has a growing list of philanthropic achievements to her name. She serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee of the Canadian Women’s Foundation, has been a major proponent of supporting the financial journey of women, through an initiative she co-founded in 2022 called Guardian Women and has recently been awarded the recipient of Wealth Professional Canada's Top 50 Leading Women in Wealth award for 2023.

Andrew Dimock is Vice President, Investment Counsellor for Guardian Partners, where his focus is on addressing wealth management and investment needs for clients. Previously, Andrew was a Principal and Relationship Manager at Burgundy Asset Management, working with US-based clients, primarily family offices, foundations and endowments. Early in his career he spent time in Burgundy’s private client group and its associates rotational program working in many parts of the firm, including institutional investment management, compliance and trading. Complementing these activities, he has extensive experience in all aspects of business development and has a broad and deep knowledge of the investment management industry as a whole.

Before joining the industry full time in 2008, Andrew interned with BMW M in Munich, Germany.

Andrew received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Acadia University, with specializations in Finance and Economics, and completed a study term at the University of Sydney in Australia. He is a CFA® Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and Toronto CFA Society.

Andrew has a history of volunteer efforts in the community and presently volunteers with a community awareness and fundraising group for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto Young Leaders.
CAMERON RICHARDS, JD, MBA, CFA

As Chief Investment Officer at Guardian Partners, Cameron's mission is to combine the investment strategies and disciplined portfolio construction and risk management utilized by pension funds and endowments, with the customization and client responsiveness required by private clients, to increase the robustness of investment solutions and to enhance the experience of Guardian Partners’ clients. Previously, he served as CIO of the Nova Scotia Health Employees' Pension Plan, and was the Head of Real Assets at Albourne Partners in London, England. He also served as the Co-Chief Investment Officer of University of Toronto Asset Management (UTAM), and Chair of the Investment Committee for the entirety of the university’s investment assets. Before joining Guardian Partners, he founded Isengard Capital Management, which provided capital markets research to Albourne Partners and also designed a research platform which applied global macro, stock selection and quantitative strategies to generate long and short exposures in stocks.

Cameron is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Queen’s University, earned an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and is a CFA® Charterholder. He has been called to the Bar in Ontario.
FRANK MERCURI

Frank Mercuri is the Chief Financial Officer of Guardian Partners Inc. (GPI) and Guardian Capital Advisors LP (GCALP) and Director of Finance for Guardian Capital Group Limited (Guardian).

Frank was appointed CFO of Guardian’s private client businesses, including GCALP, GPI, and RaeLipskie, in 2023 and is responsible for all finance and accounting functions, playing a key role in developing and implementing internal controls, management of the working capital and OSC financial reporting. He joined Guardian in 2021 as a Director of Finance and assumed the role of Interim Vice President and CFO for the former Guardian subsidiary, Worldsource Wealth Management, from July 2021 until November 2022.

His career in the financial services industry began in 2012 when he joined KPMG, where he progressively assumed more senior roles. Directly before joining Guardian, Frank was Senior Manager, Direct Investing Finance for TD Wealth.

Frank graduated with a Bachelor of Management and Organization Studies degree from the University of Western Ontario. He holds the Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant designations.
PAYTON LIU, MA
Director, Investment Research

Payton Liu is Director, Investment Research for Guardian Partners and a member of its research team - the Strategy and Solutions Group (SSG). He joined Guardian in 2021, assists with manager selection, and has responsibility for supporting portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management.

Payton’s 11 years of experience with University of Toronto Asset Management Corporation (UTAM) further strengthens SSG’s investment research capability. At UTAM, his responsibilities included assisting with strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction, currency exposure management, investment risk management, and manager selection.

Payton has a Master’s Degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, Halifax, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. He also published his master’s thesis in International Journal of Managerial Finance and won Best Paper Award from the Northern Finance Association.
ANDREW SILLA, CFA

Andrew Silla is Analyst, Quantitative Research for Guardian Partners Inc. (GPI) and a member of its research team — the Strategy and Solutions Group (SSG). He joined Guardian in 2020 (BNY Mellon at the time) as a Portfolio Analyst. Since then, Andrew advanced to the role of Associate Wealth Manager, supporting both client-facing and Investment Research teams. In 2023, he assumed his current position with a mandate to focus on investment and strategy research to help drive the investment strategy for GPI.

Andrew began his career in the financial services industry in 2018, when he joined Cumberland Private Wealth Management as an Analyst.

Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen’s University, Canada. He is a CFA® Charterholder.

Sophie Li is the Supervisor of Performance and Client Reporting for Guardian Partners Inc. (GPI). Sophie joined GPI (formerly BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services) in 2012 in the administration and operations department as a performance analyst and has progressively assumed more senior roles throughout her career with the firm.
